My name is Nathan R Mitchell. I am the Founder of the business coaching company, Clutch Consulting. I am an experienced business coach, leadership coach, and published author.
I am committed to my purpose of Growing Businesses & Empowering People. I do this by helping business owners and entrepreneurs build the business through business coaching, digital marketing, strategy, and purpose-centered leadership. I also work with career professionals, executives, and other leaders by helping them become more engaged in the workplace by finding purpose, meaning, and fulfillment in their work.
Although I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entrepreneurship, an MBA from Missouri State University, and a Certification in Professional Business Coaching, none of it ever came easy for me. My early years in college carried with them frustration and indecisiveness. My first two semesters I earned a 1.8 and 1.0 GPA respectively. Needless to say, the university no longer desired to have me as a student. After careful consideration on my part, followed by a handwritten, heartfelt letter to the Dean of Admissions, I was accepted back into school for one more semester to prove myself. And I did.
After graduating I took an Operations Management position with a Fortune 50 company where I had 11 years of success before leaving to pursue other endeavors. In the corporate sector, I was responsible for overseeing store locations and mid-level managers. According to many people’s standards you could say I had achieved the American Dream. I met my loving wife, Sarah, there, and was earning six figures a year. But, despite my success, it was a struggle. I was unfulfilled, unsatisfied, and unhappy. Like so many others, I found myself frustrated and lacking purpose. And because of that I became ineffective, disengaged, and struggled to lead others effectively in the organization. At the end of the day, my ability to positively impact the company’s bottom-line had become compromised.
In 2010 I started my business coaching company, Clutch Consulting, with one simple purpose: “Growing Businesses and Empowering People!” I love affecting change, mentoring others, creating new ideas and innovative ways of doing things, giving others perspective, and helping companies have better bottom lines.
